Author Reply: My English *is* good, but not that good as you can read in the "final product". Occasionally I make a grammar error, or write an awkward phrasing, or I'm insecure about which synonym to use. All of those things are corrected&polished by native speakers - my beloved beta-readers. I am grateful beyong words to them.

So, her favorite food was once elf. Someone should warn Legolas's colony that something dangerous is in the woods. Come to think, she is not afraid of Gondorian blades. I think the elves who once lived in Mirkwood may have to lend their senses and elvish blades to this hunt. Sting, at this point, is leagues away in the Shire. Either Anduril, or the Elves, now.

Author Reply: I imagine that the elves cleared Mirkwood of all evil creatures in the Fourth Age - after all, there is a note about it in the end of RotK, and the forest was renamed into Forest of Greenleaves. So Legolas is not in danger.
But the Gondorians are... for now.

Haldar is a calm and experienced Ranger, and also a wise one who tries to sense more than what can be seen or heard. He senses danger, and something unusual going on, and those are the instincts that must be trusted.
