“They deserve each other, those two.” That certainly rings true! (I'm wondering if Amroth here is the same as Fiondil's Amroth? I may be mistaken in remembering the name from the Elf Academy stories, so this may be a moot question.) I read the Sil many decades ago, but it never quite caught my imagination and interest the way LOTR did. So while many of the names are familiar, I can't always put them in context. Author Reply: You know - quite possibly. The lore about him being Celeborn and Galadriel’s son was I believe from an older/earlier version of the legendarium, so even if he wasn’t related to them in Fidel’s stories he could still be the same. It’s been so long since I read those stories that I can’t be sure though! I enjoy history a lot, and since the Silmarillion is a lot like reading a book of history and legends it jumped out at me. Some of it I have less patience for than other parts, admittedly. The Akallabeth took my breath away the first time I read it - I honestly wonder sometimes if it could almost be called a bit prophetic …

Had not thought of Amroth as the son of Celeborn and Galadriel. Interesting thought. Love the idea of Nimrodel's vigel and Vwire's compassion. Love the meeting of husband and wife, and his perception that all seems more real here.

I forgot to comment on the "Everything seemed more alive" bit. I have tried to express that, too, in my hobbits' dream-encounters with Frodo after he sailed, so I had a shock of recognition when I read that part. Author Reply: It’s an interesting challenge, isn’t it, to try to picture and describe how the Undying Lands must be different than Middle-Earth …? :-)

Such a blend of moods! Love, longing, laughter (“You give the Undying Lands perhaps too much credit, my Lord.”), and more.

Oops, I meant to say 'experience the hobbits through his POV'. :) Author Reply: Hooray for friendly trees indeed! That’s a really fun idea! Hmm … Is there any actual Tolkien lore about how long Frodo may have lived in Valinor, or am I pretty much free to do what I want with that? I will start pondering on how this may happen … ;-) Thx as always for reading! Author Reply: Ah. Found my answer - no specific date. Good. One Hobbit chapter being added. :-)

The tree welcomed him, inviting his touch and offering succor Hooray for friendly trees! I can imagine him planting others, or going far afield to experience how different trees in this new world feel to him and communicate. Legolas would also require this type of comfort. Oooh, might we experience the arrival of the hobbits through his POV? (just hoping....)
