I am crying as I write this. Next week is what would have been our 50th wedding anniversary had I not lost him nearly 2 years ago. You have captured so well what I truly believe will be our reunion in heaven. Thank you more than you can imagine. Author Reply: (((hugs, hugs, and more hugs))) I'm so sorry. I read your note just now, some weeks after you left it, and I am sending my warmest thoughts your way. You are most welcome. I am wishing you much comfort.

I rejoice that the animals are there, too, to rejoice in the delight of reunion in such a site and activity! How I miss so many dogs and cate and others I've loved over the years, and look forward to seeing them once more when the time comes. Thanks so for this gift, and for the time we spent together today. May we again find equilibrium in the coming days and months. And may I finally get over this cursed cough! Author Reply: You are most welcome. Our fur-friends just don't live long enough, not anywhere close, and it's worse when their time is cut even shorter by mishap or disease than their life expectancy would encourage us to expect. Even though I know that certain pets, like tortoises and some parrots, have long lives, my heart belongs to feline and canine companions, and so I'm stuck. I hope that awful cough will resolve soon, either from the natural healing process or effective treatment or both. It was wonderful to see you. *hugs*

Oh my friend, this is lovely. May such a joyous reunion be so for all of us, and our beloved furry children. Then another voice breaks into the conversation. ‘Hullo Sam! You haven’t hurried, have you?’ Wonderful line. :) (Sorry, my first review got cut off.) Author Reply: Thank you, dear friend, especially for making this extra effort! I think I might get bored at just eating all the time, which suggests to me, sadly, that I'm only an honorary hobbit at best. (I do well to manage one meal a day, much less six. Eating is something of a chore these days, so I do my best to make food that is appetizing and beautifully presented, at the very least; I guess that would be a hobbity trait, actually. Junk food might be easy, but just it's not appealing these days for whatever reason. Maybe I'd eat six meals a day if someone else were doing the cooking... lol) That said, maybe because the Feast transcends time and space, boredom isn't a possibility. Isn't funny how that one line of Rose's hints at so much character and has sparked the imaginations of so many authors, generating wonderful depictions of Sam's Rose? In that one line, she sounds spunky and confident and competent and... well, lots of things, too many to go into here. (hugs)
