| I am intrigued! I haven't read much about the Rangers. A few stories only, and there is one particularly fascinating story I remember reading partway through, perhaps a decade ago, and wishing for more, though I haven't been able to find it again since returning to fanfic. Drat. Is it that not many people write about the Rangers of the North-lands, or have I simply looked for stories in the wrong places? In any event, I am looking forward to seeing the early Chieftains through your eyes. It is late, but when I sneaked a visit to SoA tonight, I found this story waiting. I am looking forward to reading more soon. Hopefully tomorrow. Author Reply: Thanks for your comments. I wrote Dol Guldur in the fall of 2018, think you read that and gave me a nice review. This slice of life, Days of the Dunedain, sort of picks up a 100 years or so later from that one. I'm thinking of another Ranger story to follow Days of the Dunedain but that will take time. | |
