| Oh! *bouncing happily in my seat* I haven't read this one before! It's wonderful! How I love gapfillers. This one fits very well with the original and is powerfully written. Excellent characterisations and descriptions. Well done! Author Reply: Thank you! :-D I remember really enjoying writing this one. Gandalf and Elrond together were a challenge - two such long-lived people with incredible life experiences, and I really wanted to do them justice. So glad you enjoyed. | Thank you for re-uploading this story! I had never considered how much Saruman's betrayal must have hurt Gandalf, but of course it did. They were comrades, sent to Middle-earth on a mission together. I like the way you write Elrond and Gandalf. In my imagination Gandalf was even more gruff :) Author Reply: I love Gandalf so much - and it was quite the challenge trying to figure out how he would react to something like this. (As well as Elrond. Two people with impossibly long lifespans ...) So glad you enjoyed! | |

| PSW! I really enjoyed this! But for the Breach of January 2025 I might never have found it. I love the relationship between Elrond and Gandalf. It has the feel two have been friends for a very long time and they need not hold back what they think or feel. Each has their thoughts and feelings and I love how Elrond finally relents and places all aside to feel empathy for Gandalf and the betrayal that he feels. Very nicely done! Thanks! MM Author Reply: Thank you! I’m so glad you liked it. I really enjoyed trying to get into Galndalf’s and Elrond’s kinds for this one - they are both so old and wise that it was a fun challenge.
