Destiny's Child  by Mirkwoodmaiden 2 Review(s)

Ah, yes, feeling different. Feeling left out. I wonder if there's anyone alive (or who has been alive) who has not experienced such feelings?

You can see a hint of Éowyn's future choice to become a healer in this chapter, as well as in the king's observation: Éowyn never stopped thinking of others even when she was upset.

Looking forward to reading more!

Exactly! I think everyone can relate to Eowyn here! And most of the time actually.

Yeah! I had to build up the idea of Eowyn being out among the people and give some background to her declaration to become a healer. Hama says that she is high-hearted and loved by all. To be "loved by all" it only stand to reason that she would be out among the people and have empathy and compassion!

thanks for writing!

“ If one of them so much as touched her, he would be forced to geld him, and he would hate to harm one of his own people.” Ha… :-D

It is hard to feel left out. She’s just not in the same place as everyone else, and that’s okay. She has a kind heart and a desire to help others - right now that’s a good place for her focus even if she doesn’t see it.

Thanks for reading and writing! It is never easy to feel as if you don't fit in, especially for Eowyn in the times she growing up in and her station in life. She took on the responsibility of tending to the less fortunate out of a need she saw but it will allow her to grow into the person she will become along with training.
