| Oh dear… But WOW, I was right about what would happen! Grima came at the time Éomer was appointed Third Marshal. Éomer! May I be proud of him? Éowyn, as well, of course. And his wood carving, cool! Also Herubrand or whatever his name is, she actually likes spending time with him? Last but not least, Théodred! Only where was his hug for Éomer? Author Reply: Shield Maiden! Hello! Oh dear is right. Grima the oily has come upon the scene. I think we can all be proud of Eomer and Eowyn! Héobrand is just another in a long line of young Riders that Theoden sends as attendant to help Eowyn on her weekly rounds about Edoras. The hugging was not part of the Investiture. | Oh yikes. I had never really thought about Grimes’s first days as counselor - how confusing it must have been to have him just suddenly be in such a favored role. Very concerning… Author Reply: PSW! Yup!! I had to work in these chapters to let Grima's influence grow slowly over Theoden. It was not afait accompli all at once. It happened gradually and with no explanation really given. You'll have to tell me if I achieve showing gradual control or not. Off to reading more of Beyond Imladris! Thanks again! ((hugs)) MM | |
