Perhaps Théodred and Éomer were good at postponing it. Which is good. I should be saying they did a good job! Unseen by either, Grima retreated from a recessed alcove near the entrance and stole away back into the relative darkness of the hall. [uhoh. At least Éomer managed to come—or did he not? Wormtongue supposedly intercepted Théodred’s plea for Grimbold or Éomer to come to the Fords.] | |

| Sooo frustrating to just have to stand back and watch such things happen! She and Theodred are grieving for a man who is both gone and not gone, and for the loss of the integrity of their kingdom, and for the trouble of an ally they didn’t assuage. What a terrible time. Author Reply: PSW! It certainly is. These chapters have been easy to write but they are a part of Eowyn's journey where she will find unexpected happiness with Faramir.
