| Wagers abound! Though, the wording around Ferumbras’s wager makes me wonder too exactly what he’s betting on. Perhaps I’m just reading too much into it - I guess we will see! Author Reply: Luckily, you don't have to wait long to find out. (It's no wonder to me that Ferumbras was remembered in the historical record as a Thain of the Shire even though his younger brother's feat of riding a horse might have been more likely to be mentioned in conversation.)
