Interesting that the captain could not meet "lawrence's" eyes for long. "Many a summer before you." No kidding, eh? I find it amusing that Legolas was so aggravated by his doorbell that he changed it from a buzz to a chime. :) I'm sure you know this, but Elrond is the great-grandson of Luthien, who is 1/2 Maia. Elrond's sons, therefore, are her great-great grandsons. I have no idea how much Maia blood is flowing in them, however. I love how the elves, old as they are, still retain some of their youthful attitudes. You have portyaed them well. I find it interesting how much the elves admire the inventions of men. Most standpoints make them be disgusted with the new inventions. I enjoy their admiration. Thank you for giving your elves proper speech! They do speak just enough AMerican to make it believable, but not so much so that you wonder when the elves learned to speak slang. "Who was it that stuffed himself like a Hobbit at King Richard's table?" Hm. I would like to hear more of this incident. Obviously the elves have been around a bit. I think you have a wonderful grasp on Legolas' personality. He is more of the Legolas from the book than the film, which is wonderful. I agree, I think he is younger than the film portrays. Well, that's all for this chapter. | |
