| People who know these things far better than I say that when a child loses a parent, his greatest fear is that he will lose the other parent as well. Very fitting then, that Legolas feels such a fear for Thranduil. And how close it came to that actually happening! But by being strong and continuing for Legolas' sake, perhaps Thranduil will find that he can be strong for his own sake too. At least, I hope this will happen. (I remember starting this story on another site, but I don't remember if I finished it or not. Even though this isn't one of your new stories, it's new to me for all practical purposes.) LKK | |
