| Hey, gal! No fair leaving us dangling on a cliffhanger!! [pout] Well, at any rate, Bill gets to be a hero. Sure hope he's able to maneuver that tree quickly so they can save that man! Hopefully, in Chapter 68, all will be well, and the man will be home and in the hands of a skilled healer. (Where's a hospital when you need one?!) Author Reply: Beg pardon. | Ahhh! Another thought if you don’t mind. I wonder if Alder will turn out to be the old man who bred and raised and trained Bill? Hmmm… The suspense is deliciously maddening! Cheers! Author Reply: I don't think I've ever minded hearing another thought presented. Especially if it concerns Tolkien's world. :) The suspense will continue for another chapter or two, for Bill is feeling rather muddled at present. But I can assure you, all will be explained to his satisfaction when he's had a chance to rest and recover. Thanks! | |

| Dear old Bill! He really is a wonderful lad. “Perhaps he will have a carrot for me when all is done?“ I should hope that there will be a reward for him. I am so excited to see him meeting his mother again! I bet he will feel it a reward worth far more than carrots. Author Reply: Bill is so brave and true. As someone said to me after reading this chapter, 'He should have ALL the carrots! EVERY carrot!' I quite agree that he has earned a reward – or several. One of which will be an upcoming reunion, or even several of them. Thanks! | |
