| Pathos and humor. And you do both so well, Jay. What a beautifully bittersweet funeral ceremony, you depicted. My breath caught when I read little Legolas' lament that he will never know the end of his naneth's last story. Thranduil's remembrances were all the more poignant for his simple listing of them. And yet, despite the pain, there is also light and laughter in the world. For the elves as they remember their beloved queen, and for us as we read one lord after another drugged by a concerned friend. A lovely chapter. LKK | |
