| Oh, wow, my heart was in my throat for that last part. Whew. I really like seeing what's going on in the shire, seeing how all the bad things are beginning. Esmeralda is a remarkable hobbit. Today was fun. I also had fun when I got home and my friend took me on a motorcycle ride. That was so cool. However there was no sparkle dust. That's ok. He's going to Rolla next weekend anyway and I'm fine with him staying a good friend. Ciao Author Reply: Hi there! Sorry I have taken so long to get back to you on this. It has been a busy week and I am easily distracted... LOOK Butterflies! For a really fantastic story onwhat is happening in the Shire, during the quest, go read Pear Took's "While We Dwelt in Fear". I think you will really love that one. I read over the eleventh chapter. As always I found several things that I want or need to change. I guess there is no such things as the perfectly written story, at least not from the authors point of veiw. Still I like it myself. I am glad you did. I am thrilled that you like Esme (Esmeralda) so much. I am typing this up at 10:37 a.m. Saturday morning. You are most likely at fencing. I obviously am not. | I have been reading this fanfic since the beginning, and it just gets better. Keep up the good work! I am also a writer, and I think it's inspiring as well as fun to read fellow writer's works and to see their thought process put down on paper (or computer for that matter!) Anyway, I think this story is great and has at times nearly moved me to tears! Once again, great job! ^_^ Author Reply: Thank you so much for this glowing review. Actually my writing process involves both paper and the computer. I start off by writing everything in a spiral bound notebook. Then I type it all up on my computer generally making massive changes. I save my notebooks and many of the early computer drafts so that I can see how far I have com in developing this. It is so very cool that we have fan fiction sites to post what we have been working on and read what other people are doing. I have read some really neat stories from emerging writers and seasoned writers as well. I only wish I had time to read more than I do. I do not consider myself to be a writer. I draw and paint. However last April I was talking to my freind Pearl Took, about this idea I had for an alternative ending for Frodo. Pearl is a fabulous writer, it come to her so much more naturally than it comes to me. I highly recomend you read her work. Anyhoo, Pearl liked my idea and encouraged me to actually write it. Pearl may not have started this fire but she has encouraged it to keep burning. I aspire to be as good as she is. I am honored that my story has moved you to tears. Thank You again! | This was a powerful chapter. I like Esmeralda. :) Oh, good, the Ring is destroyed. Now Frodo can come home! Ah, I suppose updates will not be as frequent during the Holidays?
