| Glorfindel, the last of the House of the Golden Flower! Not surprised at THAT. Good thing he’s big and carries a sword if he’s going to be yelling that in the streets of Wellington. LOL! Not touching that with a ten foot sword. "Think you it would be an excess if we just mentioned to Gil-Galad that his part at Dagorlad was reduced to five seconds of an extra holding a spear? I am giggling helplessly. And Celeborn the Wise knew again his good fortune that the Lady of the Galadhrim had always loved him. They are at it again, eh? Gracious! | Oh my Lady, The wedding was a most joyous affair. Intimate and abounding with the true love of the dark prince and his short love. I must say I was somewhat taken aback as I read Galadriel's vision of her foster daughter as being 'almost pretty'. Truly one so wise as the Lady of Light knows that elves see only the beauty that dwells within. It does not pay for one to look as good as the Lady of Light. How soon a few hundred centuries of seeing only one's own fairness in the mirror can cloud the recognition of beauty in others. I shall speak to her of this for if the sweet Giluviel should catch wind of such utterings, his heart would be broken for his true love. An elf witch should know better. I cannot disagree that Elrond is among those still clinging to sanity, but even he has tread upon the dignity of the young mortal by casting aspersions upon her writings...a wharf rat, indeed. I do not suppose anyone has pointed out to the Lord of Imladris that those who wear butterflies in their hair should be careful about slinging barbs. Alas, my heart did go out to the fair Glorfindel as he heard the fell news of Asfaloth's missing bells. There is much for him to decry. A presence such as his should not be forsaken in the interest of time and to beef up Elrond's daughter's appearances. Truly, he has cause for complaint. He and the good King Gil-Galad have good petition for remuneration. My sources tell me that this is not the first time Cirdan has been dumped in the drink and he has yet to rust. Inform Tingalen to have no fear. I will await further news from you, my Lady Scribe. Mir doth love his short one and it is wrong to bring this dark elf more pain. He has already suffered too much in my stories. Legolas did look exceedingly handsome at the nuptials, did he not? I fear that we shall be swatting the maidens away in droves. Fortunately, his Naneth is here to assist us. Naneth hath volunteered to do all the hair braiding for the coronation. | Ah, isn't Glorfindel mighty when he grows and glows? Really, I wouldn't mess with him. He makes Legolas look like an elfling. PJ might be in for a real surprise when he meets this re-embodied elf with the light of Valinor in his eyes :D And yes, Tingalen is right, Elrond is one of the sanest elves out there. :D:D Author Reply: Yes, I just have this wonderful image of Glorfindel and Gil-Galad stalking the streets of Wellington. Attacking Weta Workshop? Meeting Alan Lee? And then there is the Abomination. The First Age Elves meet New Zealand. I tremble at what will happen. | No! It better had be only the first part. I want to see what happens in New Zealand! Loved Glorfindel's righteous wrath at the bell-less appearance of Asfaloth and his own total non appearance in FotR. I guess you do need to be big and frightening to carry off a name like Goldilocks of the House of the Golden Flower - but he manages it! And Tingalen needs to watch what she's thinking about those blonde elves - at least one of whom can read her mind ;) Very funny, but *more* please! Author Reply: Never fear! There will be an epilogue yet to this story. I promised myself to finish at least Legolas' revenge before the premiere here in the US of "Return of the King". I have just barely met my deadline! After I digest any new horrible travesties from our Abomination, I shall no doubt take up pen on the "Voyage to New Zealand". Eru help me!
