Hobbit birthdays! The real way to party ... :-) Glad they got through that. Hope Aragorn can make it back for the birthday(s), it will be a fun treat for him. I see there are still plenty more chapters, so I look forward to whatever mischief they can still get themselves into ... :-P Author Reply: Thank you so much for discovering and diving in to this story! Imagining Frodo and Aragorn meeting and having adventures pre-Quest filled me with joy, and ideas for many stories. :)

„Aragorn looked down at the young hobbit who had, in such a short time, entwined himself into his life, and his heart.” Frodo did the same to us, didn’t he? He’ll always be in our heart. I love him, and you – dearest – make me love him even more. I printed everything I read this night and will take it to bed for re-reading. Good night, little one – we're bound to the Shire … you’ll meet me in the stars. Author Reply: I'm so happy you're enjoying the story, Julchen. As originally planned, "Quarantined" was only going to be 12 chapters. I'm still amazed that it became 20! I loved writing this. Author Reply: And I'm so happy to be "bound to the Shire"... along with some of the sweetest, loveliest people I've ever known. :D

Poor Aragorn is getting his baptism in Hobbit lore by fire, isn't he? And that was such a wonderful gift for Gandalf to give Frodo. Author Reply: I'd love a gift of memory for some early years of my life. There are some relatives I only barely remember.

::stands and applauds::: Wonderful story, Shirebound! I loved it! :) And it makes sense that it would spawn so many sequels; Aragorn is now a Baggins after all... how could there NOT be more stories to write? :D OH, and by the way, I'm working on getting my husband to read The Island... he loves Lost and I'm trying to convince him to read it! :) I'll win him over yet! LOL Author Reply: Thank you, Dayna!! I do love "Quarantined" and all the stories that came out of it. I'm thrilled when folks 'discover' this original tale and enjoy it. LOL, let me know if he reads it! That would be so cool. Two fandoms in one fell swoop. :D

woo hooo!! This looks like a good ending, yet it says *tbc*... :) yeah, I know there's like 9 more chapters, but I just wanted to throw in ANOTHER review for you to see. :D I can't believe there's actually MORE to this AU story, SB. You are simply amazing. I love how Aragon is tied to his future this early on in Frodo's life. I find myself wondering how you will tie it together at Council so many years from now.. if that's where it's going. Looking forward to the rest of the chapters, but life calls for now. :) Dayna Author Reply: I never planned to take this story anywhere near the Council, but that's exactly where we ended up in the first sequel I wrote ("By Chance or Purpose"). I was having too much fun in this Universe not to continue it! I went on to write other sequels closer to the time of "Quarantined" ("Reflections of the Past", "Estel's Birthday", "Comfort and Joy", and the current "Force of Nature"). I just can't seem to leave this happy universe alone. Thank you so much for reading.
