Zimraphel, I keep reading this over and over for months. I am really lucky to discover your tale of Glorfindel, and sincerely I don't leave reviews every time I find something passable. Your story, especially the end, gives me no less chill and excitement than "Utulie'n aurë! Aiya Eldalië ar Atanatari, utulie'n aurë! Auta i lomë!" or than "Hail Eärendil, of mariners most renowned, the looked for that cometh at unawares, the longed for that cometh beyond hope! Hail Eärendil, bearer of light before the Sun and Moon! Splendour of the Children of Earth, star in the darkness, jewel in the sunset, radiant in the morning!" or than "And all eyes followed his gaze, and behold! upon the foremost ship a great standard broke, and the wind displayed it as she turned towards the Harlond. There flowered a White Tree, and that was for Gondor; but Seven Stars were about it, and a high crown above it, the signs of Elendil that no lord had borne for years beyond count." Epic and funny at times, just like "The Lord Of The Rings" itself. You are the second best fëarie story-teller that I know. :) | |
