| aww poor frodo - am loving this side of the story tho its great to hear of what happened in rivendell before he wakes up! in 'recovery in rivendell' you say that frodo has prophetic dreams sometimes, is this happening here? his dream when he wakes up seems very similiar to when he's trapped in the tower of cirith ungol and he thinks the ring is gone! and just to add your writing is amazing :) | |

| I must apologize that I am somewhat slow and sloppy with my reviews, but I am still following your story. That was quite a nightmare you put poor Frodo through, and I dare not think about what he still has to endure until the shard is finally removed. And that Elrond and Gandalf have to use the Ring itself to keep up Frodo's strength is quite strange. On the one hand, it allows the Ring to gain further influence on Frodo. On the other hand, this power of the Ring serves to destroy it, in the long run. My feelings are quite ambivalent with regard to this point of the story, but that's exactly what I enjoy about it. So even the One Ring is not purely evil in this moment. Another point I really enjoyed was Bilbo's remark to Aragorn's explanation of his bruised face;-) Happy New Year, fliewatuet | |

| Eek! Poor Frodo! All those who care for him want to help him and he only saw them in nightmare form! Terrible! I do hope he will be ready for the shard to be removed, surely he will be! Por Bilbo all being angry yet eventually understanding! A cure possibly worse then the disease! Looking forward to finding out how and when that cursed thing is removed! | Gandalf's reaction in the last chapter, and Bilbo's in this are just masterfully done. You capture Bilbo magnificently - he is just like we saw in the books and I swear I can hear Ian Holm saying the words. So practical, so hobbity. | |
