| I loved watching the farewell through Sam's eyes-- you captured his personality and the nature of the hobbits perfectly. You also gave the relationship of Galadriel and Celeborn a beautiful voice. Well done! | |

| I loved this story! - like everyone else, I liked the way you contrasted the elves' outward composure as seen by Sam with what was really going on inside. That certainly helps reconcile their somewhat cool public image with the Silmarillion statement that 'there was great love between them'. I thought you did their characters perfectly - both of them very strong, but Galadriel perhaps a bit worn down by wielding Nenya for so long. Really loved Celeborn's merciless 'and if I do not weary of this land?' It just seemed right that these two should have no pretence between them, not even for their own comfort. I was wondering if it would be possible for me to put this story on my site, which you can find here: http://www.apwl75.dsl.pipex.com/lotrfic/elfportraits.html as I'm an avid collector of good Celeborn stories, and - as I'm sure you know - they are few and far between :) This one would be a pearl among the hoard, so please say I can host it! | Oh I liked it! Especially the very end with poor confused Sam and Celeborn remarking that "Even I would not dare such a thing, brave Hobbit." That was cool. Very nice | |

| Dedicated to me? The evil!beta? I am honored *bows*. I truly love how you have framed this farewell in Samwise's eyes. I like the idea of them wanting to make him blush, and you show subtley the differences between hobbits and elves - while yet still with the same wants and needs to love and be loved. Galadriel's much softer side comes through, but I think it is well done in that her power also comes through. And I really like Celeborn hearing an innermost thought - plea - that he was not meant to hear - and his comment about not underestimating him. So - does this mean you are going to do a longer Galadriel/Celeborn story too? | |

| I particularly liked the picture of Sam in this vignette. You really caught him. But the love between Celeborn and Galadriel is also very nice. These two powerful Elves are hard to imagine but you do a good job. | |
