An absolutely beautiful tale.... there is nothing more to say - just beautiful. Author Reply: Thank you I haven't re-visited this story for a long time. . .it was one of my very early stories. I'm glad you enjoyed it Hugs Helen

ALthough I have difficulty believing that Boromir could remember so much -- not a lover of lore, except when it concerns warfare -- I have to say excelent job! Happy Faramir and Wise Eowyn! Author Reply: Thank you, It was lovely to write 'happy' Faramir...I usually give him a hard time! Thank you so much for leaving your comments. I really appreciate it. Helen

I just read this again, Shirling and I really, really like it. You handle the sad moments so deftly. It is bittersweet, but lovely. The story of the dragon's egg is beautiful. I am a little partial to dragons anyway. This is terrific and original and a great take on the challenge. I am so glad you wrote this. I will stop gushing now. Author Reply: Thanks Lindorien. The inspiration for the Dragon's egg came from a gift I received from a friend. It was a geode of amythyst crystals and was very beautiful..I just had to find a way of incorporating it into a story. By the way....gushing is good!!!!!!! Helen

OK, now I'm all teary eyed. What a wonderful story. I love the image of Boromir telling the story to the child Faramir - and it's a great story too, I'm so impressed that you made it up. And then to see the story binding Faramir and Eowyn together too is just icing on the cake. This was great. Author Reply: Thank you ...I just loved the idea of the brothers safe and happy together in Faramir's favorite retreat. Helen

This was wonderful!! You write with such feeling, that the reader is carried into the scene as he reads. What a nice depiction of Faramir and Boromir's relationship. Great job, Shireling, and great to see another story from you! Author Reply: Puxinette, Hi and thank you for you kind words. This was a happy little diversion from a longer story I am working on. I'm hoping that it will have freed up my Faramir muse and that I can make more rapid progress. Best wishes Helen
