Aaaaaaaaaaaargh! You bonked our Bandy over his poor hobbit head! THIS is not a welcome thing to your fans. I also think this will tork off our elven Stalking Goat big time. I should not like to be the one who hurt Bandy when Legolas and Gimli get hold of that miscreant. No, I need to know what happens quickly. Update, fell author, Update! Oh poor Bandobras! *Sigh* he should have LISTENED. Ah, well, Legolas will find him!

Oh no! Poor Bandobras! I had a bad feeling about this from the beginning, when Legolas first warned him to be careful, but I was having such a good time following him on his daily errands that I dared hope everything would be okay. Oh, what a terrible cliff hanger! Legolas is going to be furious. I think they're going to find out that their goat is a mountain lion after this. I can just see him throwing aside the tournament, the blasted armour and disguise and all the rest of it, and hunting down these horrible people who have hobbit-napped his esquire. They've never seen an enraged Elf-lord, and I don't envy them the experience. All of this means, of course, that I'm really involved with the story and the characters as you portray them. You've done a wonderful job crafting a truly believable and engaging world. I am so, so looking forward to the next chapter. I hope that real life is very kind to you, and that you can update soon! Arghh, forgot to leave a review for the last chapter. Darn! The evil thing about this chapter was that I knew almost from the start that Bandy would get into trouble (but I managed to refrain myself from scrolling to the bottom ... well, at least for 2/3 of the story). At least he did not reveal anything that should remain unknown, though I always cringed when he started chatting, fearing for the worst. But, of course, a grocer's cart and the promise of mushrooms make the perfect trap to catch a Hobbit (after he has had too much wine - I wonder whether that was part of the plan, though I doubt it). I only hope that that patrol had their eyes open. Apart from Bandy's misfortune, I must say that King Elessar's advisors are a strange bunch. I wouldn't really trust any of them, but he's the King, so he should know ... fliewatuet

Oh no! Poor Bandy! Now it's Legolas' turn to panic. I shudder to think how this sinister turn of events will complicate things. Why do I get the feeling that elaborate dinner planned will never happen? Anyway, yet another engaging chapter. And though brief, that glimpse of Thranduil was wonderful; I can just imagine him smiling at Bandy's back, presiding over a ceremony that must have seemed amusing and endearing to him. :)
