| I hadn't seen this over at FF.Net and was delighted to read it here. What a thoroughly heart-warming story. Good writing always pleases me and your consistent, well-thought out use of the Gaffer's first person 'voice' was just wonderful. And the visual images you created through your descriptions! Young Frodo curles up holding baby Sam - somehow it makes that later close relationship so much more real. I thought you detailing of young Frodo's grief at the death of his parents beautiful, and him getting into a fight over the insults of a much larger lad perfectly in character. "Fluff" always seems to me to be a condescending term - when a story leaves you warmed and sniffling and happy it deserves a higher acclaim. Author Reply: Wow! *falls over* Thank you so much, Budgie!
