Interesting! Very nicely done -- especially the antagonism between Frodo and the Ring... Author Reply: Thank you!

Oh my. This feels so real. I can even feel the heartbeats of Frodo and Sam hidden under the cloak, holding their breath ... Brilliant work, dearie! Absolutely! Thank you. Author Reply: Thank you so much, Julchen. It was so interesting trying to describe one of the scenes in the film. :D

Nicely done! You have taken a short, visually gripping scene and breathed *more* life into it. I particularly liked Frodo's inner struggle with the Ring, and his victory over it in this instance. Glad a friend told me about this story today. Somehow I missed it when you posted it. A good ending for a long and tiring day. Write on! Author Reply: Thanks, Lindelea! And I think we're both compelled to "write on" for as long as we possibly can.

Oh, I'm trembling here. Yes, yes. Frodo knew that the cloak could protect them. This story gave me a thought, though. What if the Ring has the effect to the men as it does to the Nazguls? What if It can reveal the hobbits' whereabouts by calling the men? Author Reply: Wow, sounds like a plot bunny for you! Luckily, the Dark Lord probably never informed anyone what a "call" from the Ring would feel/sound like, because he couldn't that imagine anyone would bring it anywhere within a hundred miles of Mordor.

Janet-Superb! I have always loved the written word more than movies, because you can hear their thoughts and feelings. You did a magnificent job on this little snippet of the movie tree Author Reply: Thank you, tree. I've read "novelizations" of movies before, and now I know how difficult it is to describe every nuance of a scene. It certainly helps when your heart is in it. love those hobbits!

Fabulous writing . . . I love the way you use verbs. And I love a strong Frodo. Everything snaps into place emotionally for the reader when our hero is admirable and worthy of our devotion. Thanks for the scene . . . Author Reply: Thank you! I always try to write 'strong' Frodo whenever possible.

I was holding my breath! This just races with emotion. What I expect from a shirebound story, perfection! Author Reply: Oh wow, I'm so glad the suspense was there, even though we all know what happens! Thank you, Pearl.

Wow. You never cease to amaze me... this is an awesome piece of writing indeed! :-) Despite the fact that I've seen this scene a zillion times now, I was still holding my breath wile reading this... this must have been exactly how it felt for them... Eagerly looking forward to whatever you will post next! :-D ***HUGS*** /Tangelian Author Reply: Thanks, Tang! This was challenging, but it was interesting to write the scene out like this. Glad you enjoyed it!
