I hope your next chapter is soon!! I can hardly stand to wait and find out how things go! I liked the story about Pippin waking Frodo up! A bit of a light story to help make everyone a little happier. This amused me to know end "Against the overwhelmingly odd, anyway,"! And all the hobbits reactions to Arwen coming in! Looking forward to more, make it quick! Thank you!

"...It puffed up out of the fry pan and flowed out onto the stove and over the stove and onto the floor and across the floor and…" "I think they have the idea, Merry," said Pippin stiffly. What a wonderful story! Leave it to Merry to keep them all diverted. But... Budgie! I know you have a lot going on in your life right now, and it's beyond selfish of me to say this, but... I can't bear the suspense! Update as soon as you can!

TBC I hate those letters! I hope the next chapter comes soon. The story of why Pippin is not allowed to wake Frodo up was a nice diversion, but please, please, get that shard out of Frodo soon!!!

I should try to remeber to never read a hobbit-centric fic on an empty stomach. I would have been content with just a slice of bread, an apple or a bit of oatmeal, but once I read your description of all those goodies delivered for the Hobbits for breakfast, I had to run to the bakery myself for rolls and pastries and other such things. Again, I loved the mixture between lightheartedness and darkness in your story. Though it becomes more and more difficult for the Big People to cheer up the Hobbits, they still manage to distract them from time to time (and Aragorn's apparently somewhat battered face seems like a nice starting point for a talk about matters less serious). But my absolute favourite part was, after all: "Estel told me they were honorably won," came Arwen’s sweet voice from the door, "defending himself against overwhelming odds." The effect that her entrance had on the half-dressed hobbits was astonishing. Sam threw himself under a divan, struggling to don his breeches. Pippin, shirtless, yelped and tried to hide behind the washstand. "Against the overwhelmingly odd, anyway," remarked Gandalf acerbically. That bit just made my day (which had barely started by the time I read this). fliewatuet

Even though I know everything will be ok in the end, this story has me so anxious for more! I love the way you manage to work in comical elements into such a dramatic and sad story (Merry's story about Pippin's mis-hap in the kitchen was delightful!). Please continue soon.

"Take your position, my children. We begin." And you stop???? Want to kill your readers, hmm? No, honestly, this is thrilling and fine and the story with the sweetcake is a true relief in all that sadness and fear and... please go on. QUICK!!

I am so nervous! I feel like I am watching surgery! Is that supposed to happen? This is so very good. I loved the sweet cake story. Started this chapter laughing and now I am a bundle of nerves. Is that fair? Hope there is more soon.
