Faramir is so right about Eomer needing a diversion, or in modern-speak, get a life, Eomer! And I liked the fact that the first thing Eomer announced was that he would not want a silly wife. One of my proudest moment's as a parent came when my teenaged son said that girls who weren't smart were boring. It's amusing that everyone seems to think they can comment on Eomer's unmarried state and probably pick out a good wife for him. I suspect that he is less pliable than they would like. Author Reply: Heehee! Yes, Éomer needs something a little more fulfilling than ruling a country, it would seem. His line about silly wives is, I'm afraid, more evidence of my Jane Austen obsession. As Mr. Knightley put it in Emma, "Men of sense, whatever you may choose to say, do not want silly wives." And indeed, that's something to be proud of when your son says that! Éomer is perhaps less pliable than they would like, but he's probably rather more in love than *he* would think. Oh, this story is such fun to write. :)

I have been waiting for this story for quite some time. Having enjoyed your last story - the one about Eowyn and Faramir (pardon me for forgetting the title) - I was eager to read about Eomer's story. Good job! Author Reply: Thank you! And don't worry about forgetting the titles, sometimes I do the same thing with my own stories. :p This one has rather a different tone (being more of a comedy for at least the first several chapters), but I hope you continue to enjoy it.
