| Wonderful! I love the bit about Adelard having his family in his pockets, hehehe!! And the tender understanding of Bilbo when Frodo admits that he is jealous and hurt, even though he didn't want Paladin to die. Wonderful!! Pearl Took Author Reply: I liked that bit, too--I love that childlike quality they all have. What I did, was cut the last chapter where it was (it wasn't like that *before*) because I wanted to resolve some of feelings he'd been experiencing along with Merry and Pippin while waiting for word on Paladin. | What a lovely story. You filled Bag End full of my favoritest hobbits, and they were all there to comfort and tease and love each other. I'm *so* glad Paladin will be all right! Whew! Author Reply: LOL...between you and Pearl! You gals are the best. :-) As have replied to Pearl, I couldn't kill off Paladin because he has to chase the riff-raff out of the Shire twenty years later. I like all five hobbits as well; I just don't know 2.5 of their personalities well enough to write more about them. The half-point comes from Frodo; I have given him cameos in other stories, so he's not so much of an enigma to me. Then again, am I getting to know Frodo quite well in your own Shirebound Library!
