This story is so beautiful. Little Merry is simply adorable, and I was almost crying at how horribly Saradoc had been treating him. Your later stories hint at how bad it might have been for Merry, but reading it makes everything so real! Good thing you've given him his dear Uncle to care for him. It certainly makes a good foundation for Merry and Pippin's friendship.
