| Wonderful. This is simply astounding. You’ve given such character to both the Kings and their Queens and their children. The entirety of Gondor’s royals is superbly encompassed, with all its joy, love, hate and indifference. I have never really been influenced to go and read the Appendices, but now I certainly will. In particular, I liked Anardil, Romendacil I (the words really flowed here, lovely last line), Castamir (it intrigued me very much), Eldacar(the wistfulness here was heartrending) and Calimehtar(the inner angst demon adored this one;)) It is tradition, for the Queen to love her King. Wow. All I can say is….this was brilliant. I have never, ever seen a better portrayal of the Kings of Gondor. Forgotten voices, indeed. Off to read the Appendices. Thanks so much. | |
