| I love the hints of the Arwen-Éowyn tension you've drawn - I've never been able to believe that Arwen, if she is Elven wise and perfect, as so many people write her, would harbour animosity towards Éowyn. You've done the right thing in making her main reaction pity. Well done. | |

Author Reply: Jealousy is rooted in insecurity, Arwen knows Aragorn is all hers and has been from the moment he first laid eyes on her at age twenty so it seemed to me that she couldn't feel threatened by Eowyn's infatuation - only grieved and concerned for the girl. I'm glad you agree. Mind you an Eowyn/Arwen catfight would have been something to see! ;-D | |
