Wo ho, so there is an ambush, but our Elf can handle it! And I for one am delighted to see him out of that encumbering armour at last. Not quite as nice as his run in the nude a few chapters back, but I'll take what I can get. ;) Aargh, another cliff-hanger too. I was so happy at Legolas' swing to the attack -- for a moment, when he started toward the cave, I was actually afraid that he'd fall for it! I should have known better. It's quite a trick, to pull off possible Elf capture without reducing the Elf's natural abilities or making him a fool. But you do it beautifully. As always. I knew it was Eradan. I just knew it. He wasn't so good at hiding his biases, after all. But poor Hatchet! I never expected that! Now I'm desperately awaiting what happens next. Which, I suppose, will be a return to the knights and the battle, and a leisurely reunion with Thranduil and Gimli and Co. Aargh! I'd beg to just jump right back with Legolas immediately, but I respect the author's need to set the stage. I just hope it happens quickly, and we see Legolas again soon! And you give me hope for that -- I was terrified that you'd break off with him running off alone, but you were kinder than that. Thank you, and thank you for such an entertaining and suspensful story! Lamiel

I hope Kaimelas lives. Dead Elves are too sad. And Legolas...I mean, I *know* he's got to live so he can sail away to Valinor with Gimli, but I'm still scared for him. And Bandy will be so upsest if he doesn't. You handle archaic language really well. It seems completely natural and not at all jarring.
