How... evil! I didn't catch most of the references, as I wasn't really into hobbitfic until I started reading yours, but it's still hilarious! Nienor Author Reply: Hah! Another review that I didn't get in my email at the time you wrote it! I probably ought to footnote the thing, but I don't remember half the references myself, anymore...

I love this! You should update it more often. I recognize a lot of the stories you have mentioned, though I can't remember the names of all of them or if you wrote them or someone else did. Oh well, I'm just losing my mind I suppose, not for the first time. Author Reply: Thanks! No, I only wrote a couple of the stories I'm spoofing. All the others are by well-known authors in the world of LOTR fanfic, spoofed with their permission, of course. I wish I could update more often! This is a story that gets expanded when the mood strikes. There is another chapter in the works, so keep your eye out. You never know when Angst will strike again! Thanks for reviewing. :::Of all the things I ever lost, I miss my mind the most::: (quote from a long-gone coffee mug)

hehe, I liked the one saying Gandalf looked so very Obiwan! THe puppy belonging to Merry and Frodo, I guess it is Sam's turn to start coming down with this fever. These are so much fun, thank you! Author Reply: Hmmm. Interesting. Sam and a fever. I think I might be able to do something with that. Thanks for commenting!

" ‘You’ve mixed your fandoms, dearie,’ she said softly, with a sweet smile that raised the hairs on the back of the wizard’s neck. ‘I’d suggest you do some thinking about it, and try again.’ " Wow, this person scares even Gandalf! Now that is power! I was so pleased to see more of this, Lin! I love it so much that I have copied it and put it in my files. It's so much fun picking out who I know. The line about Gandalf needing to write things down in his planner is just wonderful! I can't wait to see more : )

LOL! This is great fun. I've only been back in the LOTR fandom since December, and I'm imbarassed to admit that I recognize almost every one of the stories and authors you've referenced. I hope everyone is taking it in the spirit it is meant, and not thinking fun is being made at anyone expence. If we can't laugh at ourselves, then we can't laugh at all. Oh, keep this one up. {‘So very... Obiwan,}’ I just love that. {Unless he wrote it down in his planner, sometimes he would think he’d finished a task when he’d really only thought about finishing it.} I bet Gandlaf could have used a planner! So nice of you to give him one, better explain it to Sam, though. Wonderful that Gandlaf knows he is the wisest person persent. {‘The one you rescued that day you fell in the River,’ Pippin said. ‘Don’t you remember? The Bridge collapsed in the flooding and everyone thought you were dead? Your parents were prostrated with grief... and I was running Buckland... and...’ His voice trailed off in the face of Merry’s incredulous stare. } This seems like am interesting idea, mind if I use it sometime? LOL Having so much fun looking for all of my favorites. Hope there is a great deal more of this, though it will be hard to get it all past Frodo as he seems to be on to you. Maybe it's the fever.

This is the kind of angst I can deal with! Dogs...dogs are cute. Kittens, though; kittens are cuter. Frodo had a kitten once. And he also had a bird. Sam and Rosie had chickens - not cute. Gandalf has a planner, and can't remember Saruman. That's one of the funniest things I've read in a long time, but yet it sounds exactly like Gandalf. There's quite a lot of selective memory going on here - and can they escape the growing crowd downstairs, without someone wanting a closer look at Gandalf's staff? Tune in next time.....

I'm so strangely happy that there's a puppy about the place, no matter who's fic he escaped from! And this had me howling... "For the life of him he could not remember if he’d dealt with Saruman or not. He thought he had, but what if he’d just thought about it and hadn’t actually seen the task through? He found this happening more and more these days. Unless he wrote it down in his planner, sometimes he would think he’d finished a task when he’d really only thought about finishing it." Omigosh. I'm dying. :)

*giggle, giggle, snort* Oh dear *wipes tears from eyes*. This is some of the most hilarious thing I have ever read, and so wonderfully written at that! I think I`ve maybe read the first chapter before, but now that I`ve started writing myself, thw story gets a whole new perspective!
