| Oh my. These get better and better. The description of the inside of the shell, winding and smooth, curving away from him, was so vivid. And the way you showed the shell inside and out, the feel of it and the shape, the colours. The whole thing had that lovely interconnected but disjointed feel of a dream and yet there was a peace in it. Amazing chapter. Loved it. Author Reply: Thank you! I'm so glad that the visual aspect (along with the other sensory effects) of the dream came across so strongly. That was the effect I was trying to achieve. And I'm also glad that the feeling of peace came through. Poor Frodo -- I've put him through all sorts of nasty dreams. I'm glad that I could give him something gentler, and also somewhat supported by canon. | |
