| Oh, this is great. Really new territory for all of us. You are doing a beautiful job of blending the canon with your own incredible creativity. This is a wonderfully enriching read. I feel like your writing style has changed a little! I love how you tell a story through dialogue . . . it's always great; I can always visualize the scene and the expressions on people's faces . . . but this story seems to have a different lens, somehow . . . a wider lens, incorporating more of the scene. Maybe it's the inclusion of so many more characters? Did you think about it, or did it just happen as you wrote? Congratulations on a beautiful new piece of work! And on another evil cliffhanger! | This story is getting even better and more exciting with each chapter! I love Pippin in this tale, and I am sure you know who *I* hope will be the one to use Gandalf's ring to help Merry, although I can think of several different scenarios and I can't wait to see what you will come up with. | Happy sigh!! I know you're a "hobbit person" but my goodness do you write the elves well!! I enjoyed the interaction between the twins and would have loved to have heard Celeborn's story that he told to Pippin. Your Sam is always so steadfast and true -- exactly like I see him in the book. And thank you for keeping Frodo strong, the hobbit is no wimp and it drives me nuts when other writers turn him into a sniveling school girl -- this Frodo is still feisty and quite like I see him in my head!! I enjoyed the comfort of this chapter -- and hope to read more in the next. Thank you. | |

| LOL...'real' wizard? Saruman doesn't even rate 'fake' wizard! There's a word that rhymes with wizard...hmmm, what word is that now? Lizard? Slithering wannabe. Okay...enough of me pouncing on Saruworm. I'm enjoying this story immensely--of course you already know that, as I come back for more every time you update! And you are planning on making us wait how long? I do usually try to refrain from asking that ;) Our dear, brave hobbits. I hope Gandalf destroys Saruman's ring in front of him so he has to watch his power melt away. He deserves that much punishment at least. | |
