| I have been waiting since the first glimpse of your characterisations of Denethor that the similarities of Paladin's behaviour to Denethor's would be pointed out, and how very, very well and poignantly you finally did it! You had me crying with the first paragraph of Pippin's tale... The parallels between Faramir and Pippin are often played upon in fanfiction, but you have put this on its head here, showing the similarities between Faramir and Merry, and it worked perfectly. | |
