I started reading this last week and have not been reviewing (sorry...I intend to try and remedy that, this is so good!), but in light of your little note at the end I felt like you needed some reassurance. Based on his previous experiences with his new gift, it only stands to reason that if Legolas touched the girl's body, he would experience her murder in some way. The fact that it was from her point of view only highlights the heinous nature of the act, and the absolute necessity of finding the murderer. I kind of thought when Aragorn requested Legolas' help, that this might happen, and had to cry when I read it. He's suffered so much already, to be held in the grip of evil like that would be a tremendous blow to his still-healing body, mind, and emotions. But he's strong...I'll just hope for the best as the story progresses. I think you did a good job of illustrating this new-found power (gift) that Legolas now has. (I've read a murder mystery in which a psychic witnesses horrible murders throught the eyes of the murderer...makes for some unbelievable tension...). Now, can Legolas harness his gift to the extent he needs to help everyone, including himself? Terrific story (altho' I hate it when the elf gets tormented...but he does seem to draw that kind of attention). :-) linda Author Reply: Aha! A lurker! I knew you existed! But at least you've now come out of hiding, which is very good for me! ^_^ Thanks for the reassurance for the chapter. I was kinda worried about actually posting it, but I'm glad you were able to see what I was trying to get across by Legolas actually "experiencing" the girl's rape and murder. It gave him more of a personal view on the crime. And just between you and me... you know you love elf torture just as much as anyone else! ^_^ At least I do! :P Thanks for the review! signing out -LAXgirl

Just a little bit of advice. Fiance is the male; fiancee is the female. Of course, since it is a French word, there is an "accent acute" over the e in fiance, but most English word processors don't allow that. Check it out in the dictionary. ^_^ Author Reply: I actually wasn't aware that there was a difference in spelling for the same meaning for each sex. thanks for the heads up. Though, I guess if we wanted to get technical, I doubt there was any French back in Middle Earth! :P Thanks for the review as always! Signing out -LAXgirl
