| I did mean to read this one on the challenge page, but I don't think I got to it. When I saw it posted here, I thought I might as well read it. This was so sad and so touching at the same time. I really like the way you contrasted the way that both Merry and Pippin were feeling - not that there *was* much contrast, they were both feeling as miserable as each other! - Pervinca Author Reply: That's okay--there were a *host* of great stories there this month, weren't there? Sadly, I didn't get to them all, either. I was trying to be original, but then I read Pipwise Brandygin's take on the same starter...it was a good story, too! I love it when our author heads unwittingly bump each other. I think Merry's and Pippin's soul journeys were very different, but then, not so different. I wanted to show that--as best as I could. | Loved it in the challenge and love it here. It shows how lost Merry and Pippin were without each other in a very tender way. I love the two in bed talking as they had when they were younger.
