| Oh NO! Poor Legolas--he forgot to duck!!! A very fine chapter in so many ways: not the least of which is the dawning of comprehension on Aragorn's part. I can't wait to see what happens next! I trust Legolas will be all right--but he's going to have one HECK of a headache! Author Reply: Poor Aragorn is still a little unsure of himself where Arwen is concerned, but does now realise he'd got it wrong. Just as well, really, or he'd be jealous of the TLC Arwen is going to administer to Legolas. He's going to need it ;) | |

| Clearly shadow has dampened Legolas's abilities some - nearly washed away in the river and now flattened by a troll! Jay, I hate to inform you of this, but the People for the Ethical Treatment of (fictional) Elves - otherwise known as Petfe - are looking for you. Worse, I think Thranduil was with them. Author Reply: Thranduil? (Jumps up and down in delight) Now there's an elf I'd like to meet! Oh. You mean he's after me because I do nasty things to his beloved son? I see. | Even though I know exactly what is going to happen... I still sit here and bit my nails as I read lol... I still bite my lip as Legolas flies in the air and crashes into the tree... :-p Looking foward to more! Lovely exciting chapter, just one thing, its going to be very uncomfortable sitting on the edge of my seat like this until your next update, so get writing! | I like the tie to the Hobbit. Legolas's account of his father's "stubbornness" had the ring of truth! But geez, you leave Legolas in kind of a bad place. Author Reply: I figure Elladan and Elrohir would have been around somewhere during The Hobbit, even if we didn't see them. So they'd know all about the trolls. Poor Legolas, but at least he has a couple of good healers close at hand. | |

| A great chapter, Jay! But an evil cliffie. And I would argue that Thranduil was very much in the right to toss the dwarves in the dungeon, and he should not let anyone convince him otherwise. I hope to see more of this and Memory of Darkness soon. :-) Author Reply: Oh, Thranduil was right to throw the dwarves in prison to start with, but he soon realised they were just in the wrong place at the wrong time. It was just that Thorin annoyed him so much he was dammed if he let them go! | |

| AGHHHHHHH! Help!!!!...evil cliffies are taking over! All right....it's all right...calm down...it's just LEGOLAS THAT WAS KNOCKED INTO NEXT WEEK!!!!!! *slaps self* Oh my, and to leave it like that....badbadbad!! ummm, sorry!*deep breath* That was a terrific chapter. I liked the developing interaction between Legolas and Aragorn (poor jealous guy), and that little scene with them "inventing" terrors for Lasgalen....oooo, creepy. It must be a "guy thing" to try and think of worse things than orcs, and Nazgul, and giant spiders, and wargs, etc. (My son and his cousin do it often! ;) ) So they finally caught up with the trolls, and Legolas found a weak spot, and got KNOCKED INTO NEXT WEEK!!!! umm, sorry...update soon, please?...sanity at risk.. ;) linda Author Reply: Legolas finding the trolls' weak spot could possibly come in handy in the future, I think! You should know by now that I like cliff hangers. What was that you said about an update? And something about next week? An update next week, is that it? :) | |
