Oh Shirebound - what a WONDERFUL chapter - you have me laughing at several points! And you simply MUST write about in greater detail Gandalf's stay with the Lothlorien Elves after Gwaihir brought him there for healing! Again, great chapter and I anxiously await the nexx one!

Frodo was able to resist Saruman because he had learned to resist the Ring in the same manner. My beloved Frodo is always so very strong, though he actually is still very ill. What a noble creature!

Okay, where do I begin? I love how Frodo saved Merry, and the banter between Merry and Pippin at the end. Gandlaf and the elves were amusing, too, with their discussion of difficult patients, and Elrond at the end was just priceless!

Ahhhh! My shot in the arm of my beloved Pippin :-) What a brilliant and wonderful chapter! I loved the scene of Merry with the "kaleidoscope-ish" (I just created a word) vision...that would be surreal. Oh--and I was rolling with the story of "Slitherdoc"! LOL...! Too funny! See you at chapter 8! Pippinfan

Another great chapter. I loved the conversation between Merry and Pip at the end and how you protrayed their relationship. They're so cute. Can't wait for more.

“The Lady did WHAT?” *dies* Oh, I almost wept at that last conversation between Merry and Pippin... I just adore them so much... Argh, you're so darn good! *pounds desk in a brief fit of jealously* I'm better. Loving this story greatly, as with all your others. Are we ever going to get to hear the story of Elrond's courting of Celebrian, I wonder? ;-) (I shall e-mail you soon!) ^_^ -Minty

Frodo couldn’t open his eyes… he couldn’t move. Strong arms gathered him up and lifted him, cradling him gently. The weakness and fever he had nearly forgotten about closed in on him once more. So hot and dizzy… voices… Shirebound, one line of angst/comfort from you does more for me than chapters and chapters of other stories. You are truly the master . . . I really believe that the powerful emotion of your a/c comes from the way you portray Frodo. He is a true hero, who tries to do his best for his friends, and then struggles to find the way home after all the pain and adventure has changed him. Truly Tolkien's vision. Just love it, love it, love it! Thanks for all your hard work and for sharing your vision with us!

“Are you keeping Merry awake?” Elrond suddenly appeared at Celeborn’s side and led his father-in-law away. “How very inconsiderate of you.” I love that line! Elrond sounds so smug. And you had Elrond caring for Frodo. You know how much I like that combination. *hugs*
