Wonderful! This was the highlight for me: “You can love him, but you must be my Sam, as he is my Frodo, and Rosie is my Rose.” So simple and beautiful--an excelent beginning.

Hello! Pearl Took recommended this story to me--and she's always on the mark when doing so. We were talking about the nominees for the Mithrils and then it switched to spirituality in regards to hobbits; something I had wanted to dabble in. It seemed to me that a lot of well-meaning authors tend to avoid the spiritual aspect of the Little Folk--myself included, even though JRRT wrote his epic with that in mind (regardless of what he might say!). Well, I've got a bit of time on my hands today, and so I'm taking Pearl's advice. When you wrote of the trees bearing fruit at various intervals, I immediately remembered that there is no "time" in heaven..."One day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years is as one day." Awesome. I'm eager to read more of this fantastic account of beyond the Grey Curtain! :-) Pippinfan
