| This is my favorite wee-Frodo story of all time. I fell in love with it the first time I read it, I believe, over a year ago. Ariel I just melt when I think of baby Frodo saying 'Beebo?' I read it again and melted some more. Author Reply: *Melts too* You know, I can almost hear him saying that. Not in a sappy or sickly sweet way, but just as a baby would ask, with his soft, high voice rising at the end of the word to make it a query. My own kids were at their absolute cutest at 2. It was so much fun remembering them in this piece. | |

| Aww! How sweet! You describe little Frodo so beautifully, and Bilbo's reaction to him is delightful to see. And thank you for the tip about hobbit aging as well. I'm pretty new to fanfic, and so I'm still learning...and I just can't get hold of anything that would help me: that is Tolkien's letters or anything else. Long story. | I adored every word of this, because I could put myself so in Bilbo's place. For me, this story is now how Bilbo and Frodo met. Your descriptions of Bilbo's attitude towards this special child were so engaging and endearing that the reader was pulled into Bilbo's wonder. I loved little Frodo's seriousness - I could just see his evaluating his surroundings and that odd old hobbit. I was glad, too, of the glimpse of Primula and the bond mother and child must have shared. Running through all were such sweet snippets of humor, like "The appeal of a sweet face had generally been offset for him by the expectation that it was covered with something sticky." This one is going in my 'keep' file. Author Reply: *sniff* Oh, thank you! Wow! I cannot believe the response I have gotten from this! You know how you can work ages on something and people just don't warm to it and then you turn around and slap something off that they just love! Geez... one of these days I am going to figure this stuff out! Although, I guess if I was able to do that, I'd be making money at it. ;) | |

| In that instant, Bilbo felt a warm rush of love fill him without any hint of regret and he knew, without a shadow of a doubt, that this was what a parent felt. This utter contentment, this loving glow was their reward for all the scraped knees, spilled milk, or broken crockery one youngster could ever precipitate. Oh, beautiful! I love this! Woman, you can WRITE! I don't usually care for baby-Frodo fics, but this just took my breath away. You have a real gift for writing about feelings . . . not overly sweet, but with a depth that just resounds in the heart. Thanks so much for all your work . . . this is a beautiful vision.
