The Queen's Orc  by jodancingtree 3 Review(s)

Here it looks as if there is someone else as badly in need of healing as Canohando. Something made Malawen stay behind, when most of the other Elves are long gone, and I don't think it was just a love of Middle-Earth. Arwen has said that Canohando has a purpose other than killing a troll for her - I wonder if he is meant to heal, as Frodo healed him?
As always, this is an interesting story, and I will be looking for the next chapter.

Author Reply: Hi, FantasyFan - I was hoping that you were still reading this! No, I don't think Malawen stayed behind for love of Middle Earth, but more because she feels herself an outsider now, stunted and scarred as she is. She has made a friend of darkness and solitude, and Frodo could have told her how dangerous that can be. Maybe Canohando could help her, if she would have anything to do with an orc...

No safety even in Lorien! Canohando's going to come out of this soon, right?

Author Reply: Alas for Lothlorien - even the Golden Wood was touched by war, though lightly. And now that Nenya has lost its power and Galadriel has departed, Lorien fades away. But orcs are hard to kill, and Canohando has friends who will fight for his recovery.

oooh, tough times in Lorien huh? I hope the welcome further in is rather warmer, but I can never second guess your stories, that's why I love them so. I hope Canahando recovers soon, I guess if your are not dead as an orc you will probably come right eventually .

Author Reply: Oh good, I'm glad my stories aren't too predictable! And certainly if devoted nursing can bring him through, Canohando should recover - Arwen is as faithful to him as he has been to her...
