| Oh, this was so cute! You hardly ever find good stories involving the Cottons, and those that do rarely have Jolly playing a big part. Typical lad, isn't he? Just has to find out if things really do lock. Tom's idea was very clever! And you even managed to sneak a little touch of Sam/Rosie into the ending, which gives you bonus points in my books :D I've often wondered whether Rosie and Jolly were twins, and assumed that they were. But I suppose if she was born at the beginning of the year, and he at the end, they could have been born in the same year and not been twins. Ah well, I like to think of them as being twins :P - Pervinca Author Reply: I love stories with the Cottons so I just had to write my own (and with Sam/Rosie, of course). | This was so sweet. I don't believe I've ever read a fiction with Sam that didn't include Frodo, Merry or Pippin. I thought it was great. Poor Jolly was so cute and I loved how Rose defended him and demanded that something be done. Author Reply: Wow, you don't see many of Sam like that. I never noticed that before. I'm glad you liked Jolly - it was weird writing him since he's not talked of a lot in the books. Thank you! | |
