LOL...we did that in the 9th grade--"year nine" for you? Once we had to read a poem in front of the class--extra credit if it was memorized. I memorized the first part of an Emily Dickinson poem. I forgot to bring it to class and ended up a bad mark for that! Sigh. Can't remember the title, but it went like this: Laugh, and the world laughs with you, Cry, and you cry alone. For the sad old earth must borrow it's mirth, and has trouble enough of it's own. After all these years... | |
