| Very nice little summation of the scene with Smaug! I can easily imagine Sam or Frodo coming up with this and jotting it down some afternoon in Bag End. Author Reply: Now that is certainly a compliment! In my opinion, Sam and Frodo are master poets :) Smaug has to be one of my favourite characters from The Hobbit. I can only hope that he (along with the rest of The Hobbit) will be brought to screen as well. - Pervinca | |

| I can't tell you how much I think you missed your calling! I do hope you continue to dabble in poetry or writing on the side as you grow in your other choice of profession. Actually, I believe this prose to be one of the more difficult ones to create/master. JRRT had Sam reciting one like this after finding the old trolls from Bilbo's adventure. I don't mind saying that I'd have a hard time with the likes of this. Very well done! :-) Pippinfan Author Reply: I certainly plan to continue writing - I enjoy it so much!
