| Frodo walked over and put an arm around Merry shoulder and said, "It’s a puzzle box, Merry. It was made by the dwarves in Dale. - GW I loved how you incorporated Merry's puzzle box into this story! I like it when you have tidbits from your other stories in your new stories, or explain certain things somehow. So cool! Pippin, Merry, and Pervinca switching tags--that is so funny! Merry is such a little conniver! This is wonderful, Grey Wonderer! I will return again tomorrow; I have a bit of a headache and I need to catch up on Roses some. | I love the idea of Pippin listening to the packages. I have an aunt who does the same thing. She always knows what's inside. We have to get very creative to trick her. I'm betting Pippin will be the same when he's a bit older :) Author Reply: I think half of the fun of presents is trying to guess before you open. I suspect that your Aunt thinks so too. | I loved it!! Pippin's feud with Lilac of the missing tooth and how she rewarded Vince for tying him to the chair! LOL! (that part reminded me a bit of me and my brother) I liked how noone wanted to admit that they hadn't been watching Pippin while he was "listening" to the presents! That was so cute! Everyone's reactions to their *specially chosen* gifts were great! Sam was so adorable and I loved Esme's reaction to her sling shot! You are such a talented writer! You have a very special gift of lacing humor and love through all your stories in a way that is just amazing. Bravo! mc Author Reply: You write a wonderful review! I love the part were I'm talented. | Great chapters! I could just picture the gift-giving scene and the dialogue in it was very well-written. The puzzle-box was interesting and a great way to tie all your different stories together. Excellent job! ...Tialys Author Reply: Sometimes I worry that my characters are talking too much. I am glad you enjoyed the dialogue and that it helped you picture the scene. I am too attached to that puzzle box. I told someone else that it is almost like an OC in these stories, but it does give them a connection. Thank you for all of the kind words. | |

| Everyone knowing that Pippin was hiding under the bed was splendid! I like that Frodo talked him into "just changing" but that he knew Pippin would end up back at the party. The name tags getting switched was lots of fun! The things that you had everyone recieve instead of what they were suppose to recieve was great! I like that you worked the puzzle box in! Such a fun thing to have in your stories and that you can know their later history and such. Freddy saying that they shouldn't give up on Frodo not ever being happy again was perfect. Thank you and can't wait for more birthday fun! Author Reply: I can't seem to keep that puzzle box out of these stories can I? LOL It does hook things together though which might be good. I am like Freddy in that I always want Frodo to find happiness in the end and stick around. I figured someone had to say it, so why not Freddy? | Geweldig! Twee nieuwe hoofdstukken ;) I really really enjoyed this chapter. It made laugh out loud more than once :) Pervinca, his other older sister, had told him that the new teeth would probably be nearly as big as rabbit’s teeth and might even be green. He didn’t know if this was true because sometimes Pervinca lied to him but if it was true, he might be able to eat carrots faster. That's just brilliant! That's my kind of humour. Author Reply: Yeah! More Dutch! Thank you. Glad you saw the humor in this bit. I thought Pervinca might be the kind to try and tease pippin to see if she could make him believe her wild stories. I slao suspected that Pippin might just think big, green teeth would be interesting! LOL | |

| I love how Esme was delighted when she got Merry's slingshot! Author Reply: I can see Merry's mum out shooting at targets. Somehow, I think she might have been a bit of a Tom-boy as a child. It's always fun to get a gift that reminds you of your childhood. | |
