:_( *tear tear* How sad! I'm incredibly sorry; I haven't been here and reviewed one of your stories in *forever*.....hopefully I can be better at it now. ;-) Such is the way of life, unfortunately.....no time, no time, no time. Speaking of life, Legolas' mother's death is so sad!! Everyone's different viewpoints on her death are very interesting, even if I don't have the heart to write my own. ;-) Poor, poor Legolas; the guilt just never ends, does it? Very touching/intriguing chapter ending...almost like a cliffy, except that it's more of a slope. (Darn, I can't stop rambling.) As for the first chapter, I'm a wee bit confused. The summary said that Legolas is mortally wounded, but in the actual story he doesn't exactly seem to be at death's door...is he actually dying, and I'm just missing something? ;-) Five years of silence! It made me hurt just to think of it. That's really sad. The conversation between Thranduil and Legolas was almost painful to read; it was like you could see where it was going, and you wanted to scream at the characters to stop fighting and make up, but you knew what would happen and you couldn't stop it. Excellent job with that emotion. Having your father add insult to injury with a comment about your best friend...no surprise that a wall went up! //So it remained a mystery, left buried in the past much to the relief of the prince and the curiosity of everyone else.// I like that sentence. ;-) It's incredibly sad that Legolas doesn't know that his father was there all the time. The last line of the first chapter is in a bigger font; at first I wondered if you were really trying to make your point. ;-) //Pride kept the royal father and son apart, but love kept the father coming back.// There is something very profound there. Keep up the good work! Author Reply: Yikes! What a review!~:-) Am glad to see that you are back! Yeah Legolas' mother's death was heartbreaking, I finally decided to give a death a try:-) lol... a slope indeed:-D Yeah well it kinda goes into that but not much... I'll give you my thoughts.. Legolas was wounded by some stray orcs while patrolling in Ithilien, he recieved several cuts and stab wounds... but like I said, it explains itself in chapter 3 Thanks for the compliment! :-) I know what you mean, I wanted to stop writing and strangle them:-D You like that ay? I happen to like that as well:-D Yeah I know what you mean... But I've found many times it feels like I'm alone my parents are silently watching from the side because they know that I need to be able to realize that I can make it on my own:-D I hope I conveyed that a little bit:-D No, the font was screwed up and that was like the tenth time I had redone it, so I finally gave up:-) and yes there is something very profound about that line... Thanks for the review~!

This is very angsty, but I'm very interested in this story. Please write more? I'm hoping father and son will reconcile before you're done. :) Author Reply: Yes it is very angsty... I was in an angsty mood when I wrote this so it helped a bit I think:-) I'm glad your interested... Actually I have it already completely written... But I might add or detract as I go along:-) And yes reconciliation will be here before I am done:-D

Lots of regret here from a kid who is obviously too young to understand what he can control and what he can't. How sad. He even has people to love him and help him if he will let them. Author Reply: Yeah.... But it's kinda how kids are... They don't realize that it's not their fault and they can't control what is beyond them... He doesn't seem to realize that his Adar and others will love him no matter what... It is truely sad..
