| A terribly sweet start. I really enjoyed Glorfindel tickling little Elrohir with his braid and the sleeping in a drawer. The whole thing had a very authentic twin feel to it. Author Reply: I think Glorfindel (and Erestor, when his turn comes) will be wonderful uncles to the twins. I'm glad you thought the twin bit was authentic, as I'm working in the dark here! I just hope I haven't overdone the 'ah' factor, and made the tale too cloying - but I think they all deserve some sweetness after previous events. Jay | |

| A lovely look at the newborn twins, Jay! The mighty have fallen indeed. :D Author Reply: Thanks, Nilmandra. Poor Glorfindel didn't stand a chance, did he? I decided not to describe the twins' introduction to the rest of Imladris, as you did it so well in History Lessons II, but I'm quite sure it's what would have happened. | 'Oh brave new world, that has such creatures in it.' (I think - I haven't checked the exact wording.) Gorgeous little elflings, capturing Glorfindel without a fight. I'm glad Elrohir seems to have recovered from his traumatic arrival. This is a lovely picture of life in Imladris. More please. Author Reply: Oh, well done! I hoped someone would spot the reference! Glorfindel succumbed as easily as everyone else in Imladris will. And Elrohir is fine, though everyone will naturally be a little worried about him for a while. More soon, I promise. Jay | |

| I was so glad to see Elrond thinking that a rainy day was beautiful, even if Glorfindel disagreed. I'm quite partial to rainy days myself. I think they're often mysteriously lovely. And I know how Celebrian feels about leaving them. At first, I was frantic with totally irrational worry if I left my son. Author Reply: I agree with you about rainy days, but this was a rather horrible rainy day. Elrond just didn't notice. As for Celebrian's worries, let me just say that they may not be totally irrational ... Jay | |
