| Your new story somehow put me in the mood to re-read *this* story, which is my favorite among your longer stories. You know what? I liked it even more this time around! I don't know of any other fanfic writer who can manage that perfect combination of humor and sentiment the way you can--it's always just right: no matter how slapstick the comedy, you have that touch of love underneath that always grounds the story. | Great chapters. I loved Pippin and Estella's dance and would have loved to actually see it. Pippin was so cute with Diamond and they finally got their dance! Yay! Your description of her was beautiful. Wonderful job! ...Tialys Author Reply: Thank you. I always picture Diamond with dark hair for some reason. I love to see folks who know what they're doing dance because I was never any good at it so I would love to see this dance the way it looked in my head while I was writing this. | All that trouble that Frodo goes to and then Pippin and Estella mess up his attempts! It was a right funny story! It sounds like maybe Estella is getting use to speaking to Pippin in the right manner at least she got him to ask Diamond for a dance! Poor Diamond hinting about it all the time while Pippin just stood there! The last bit with Saradoc looking in on Merry and Pippin was very sweet! Thank you for such a wonderful story! Author Reply: Glad you enjoyed it. Seems poor Frodo's plans didn't quite work out the way he intended but at least things turned out all right in the end. | He had worried that his Merry would never be able to return to a normal life. He had watched Pippin jump at the slightest sound and reach for a sword that he wasn’t wearing. He had watched Merry leave a lantern lit in his room at night and wondered if his only son would ever sleep peacefully in the dark again. They were, both of them, changed. That was true enough, but there still remained a great deal of the two lads that he had watched grow up. - GW Oh, my gosh, isn't that so true? This is exactly how I see our beloved Merry and Pippin post-Quest, however, after writing a "certain" story, I'm going to revisit their childhood again for a bit. Your story had a lovely ending--or shall we say "beginning"--for Pippin and Diamond. Thank you for sharing this wonderful tale! :-) Pippinfan Author Reply: Thank you for reading this. | Yayy! Pip *finally* got his dance with Diamond! This was lovely, the whole story was, in fact; I really loved your ending, with Saradoc coming in and finding the lads asleep, and realizing that however much they have changed in some ways, in the important ways, they are still just themselves. Beautiful! Thanks for wonderful story! Author Reply: I'm pleased that you enjoyed it. I couldn't let Pip not get his dance on his birthday. As for the ending, I had thought to go another way with Estella and Merry the next day, but decided against it and went with this quieter ending. I shall save Estella and Merry for another story..... | |

| Ah! What a wonderful ending! I like your Estella. It was fun seeing the conspiracy they all made towards getting Pip and Diamond to dance, and how nice it ended. I love your Saradoc too, he loves his Merry so much and it`s wonderful to read about the care he has for his son. Wonderful story! Author Reply: Thank you!
