Reflections  by Pipwise Brandygin 4 Review(s)

A gentle, yet sad hope. I know one day we must know the end of the tale, yet it is so often grievous when that day comes.

Author Reply: Yes, indeed. I imagine Pippin finding it quite a comfort to listen to childhood stories that end happily, when his own story is still far from over, and so uncertain.

This is a magnificent line:

'in days when they knew the end of the tale before it even began.'

It is very potent and packs much of the grandness and unsureness of the quest and what lay before them in a beautiful, poetic manner.

Author Reply: Thank you so much for the lovely words, and especially for picking out this line - it's one of my favourites, and I'm really glad you liked it too! I'm also really sorry it's taken so long to reply to you... Thank you :)

One of the missing scenes: Pippin and Merry first encounter Bilbo in Rivendell. I love your take on it. Very sweet.

Author Reply: Thank you. I don't know why, but this is one of my favourites :)

So brief these are, but so profound. You take a small dab of the book and expound into his thoughts. Very nice! btw...did I tell you that it's okay to be Pippin-centric? ;-)

Author Reply: Thank you, Pippinfan! And it's okay to be Pippin-centric? *sighs with relief* That's all right then. I can't think of any other kind of -centric that I would want to be! Lol :)
