I have perfect confidence in you, that you will not allow Merry to slip into Shadow from which he will not awaken... but not so much confidence in Merry. | Awesome story!!!! I was in tears at least once during every chapter. A few times I was trembling all over like the charaters. I'm a LOTR fanatic, and my 2 favorite characters are Merry and Pippin. | Merry makes me chuckle. 'About Frodo and Sam...' His surge of emotion (the paragraph where he's angry at Elrond for letting him and Pippin come, and his thoughts about what he anticipated the journey to be like, and the reality of it) was very well done. Nicely written, giving a wealth of information in an economy of words. Looking forward, as always, to the next chapter. Author Reply: Thanks, I'm glad you liked this chapter. Unfortunately, it's going to be a while before the next one comes out. I'm off on a real life adventure (of sorts) for several weeks. I'll try to make the next chapter good, to make up for the long break. :) | |

| Poor Aragorn! All he has been taking care of not the least it seems Merry's reaccuring problem! At least things turned out for the best that Merry got to Aragorn as soon as he did! Poor Pip, now re-remembering everything that has happened! It looks like he is getting through most of it now! Looking forward to more, especially to finding out about Frodo and Sam! Author Reply: Yes, I think Aragorn is feeling sorely overworked at the moment. He won't complain, though, as he thinks he is responsible for Merry's problem. It's going to be a several weeks before the next chapter comes out, as I'm heading out of town for a few weeks. | |
